It works just as advertised. I really wanted to get something to hang pot holders the in my kitchen, after months of having them lay around.I tried before the really cheap ones you can get from the dollar store but after a while they just peel off and the glue doesn't stick anymore.I recently bought a similar kind of hook to use in my bathroom to hang a towel and it has been working great! So I figure why not trying to find something for the kitchen as well? The hooks are super easy to use: you just detach a strip, peel off one side, attach it to the plastic hook, then peel off the other side and attach it to whatever super face you want, after having cleaned it well with rubbing alcohol or soap and water. Done! And the best thing is that there is a little tab that is not sticky and that can be used when you want to remove them, making the job so much easier than the nail-scraping that is often required to remove adhesive!I've not had the hooks for long so I can't vouch for their durability, but so far so good. If by any chance they fail sooner than expected I will update the review.UPDATE 8/26/2016: I've been using these hooks for 10 months now and they are holding up great! I've even used them to hang backpacks behind a door (great if you don't have a lot of storage) and it works well for that too.***Make sure you don't hang more weight than these hooks are rated to hold! These hooks say on the package they can hold 2 pounds. The small green empty backpack (on the top) in my 2nd pic weighs 1.5 lbs. About a month ago, my husband put a 2nd heavier bag (probably 3-4 lbs) on the hook along with the green backpack, and after a few hours the hook came crashing off. However, that was user error, because these hooks are not rated to hold that much weight! After I realized what he did, I just put the hook back on (I even used the original adhesive strip) and the hook has been fine ever since. People who are having issues with the hook falling off are very likely hanging more weight than it is rated for. 2 pounds is not a lot - if in doubt, measure what you are planning to hang or buy a command hook rated to hold more weight. If you have any questions, let me know, I'm glad to help! And if you found this review helpful, consider saying so below, I would really appreciate it.Watch what you hangup, if the load is too heavy, the hanger will probably fall off. Sometimes it will hold up the object for a period of time, but after several months, especially when Summer time hits. I noticed the adhesion tends to unstick on some of the hangers, and the object would/could fall.So if you want to hang up something, make sure it is far under the recommended weight limit of the hanger just to be safe and secure with the object you are holding.LOVE these things!!They're strong, durable, nearly invisible. If you do actually wipe the wall before you apply them (like it says in the instructions) they work as advertised: hang well, come off without any damage at all. If you don't follow that instruction, I think they seem to work okay too, but may not stay up as long--just pop off in one piece with hook and adhesive together. One word of warning: don't use on old plaster walls if they haven't had mesh (skim coating) put into the plaster. They will, with enough time and pulling or weight, just pull the paint layers with them as they fall off. I find they're 100% on the walls I have had re-done, but there are some injuries to the walls which were cheap-ed out on and just "patched" the cracks over the plaster.I use loads of these "command" hooks all over the place, in all sizes and colors, for anything I can imagine: hanging light artwork, keeping all my necklaces organized and tangle-free in my dressing area, hanging stationary curtain panels, I use the ones that keep cords neatly on the walls. (Seriously, I am just a regular person reviewing this--I just like the product.) The only one I really thought failed me was the one which said it could hold a hair dryer on the wall. That one stayed attached to the paint, and shredded a layer of the paper off the sheetrock on the bathroom wall when it came down. (Though it maybe stayed up for a month or so before doing that.)If just for the latter: thanks to 3M for theTwo years ago, I moved into my college apartment. In order to abide by the lease, my goal was to cause as minimal damage as possible to the walls when hanging things so that I would not have to paint or caulk anything when I moved out. Now as I move out, I have taken all of these command hooks off of my walls and doors and no damage has been left. You would not even be able to tell that I hung anything. I hung a picture frame, an awards certificate, hats and frisbees as well as a hook on the bathroom door. I used them to hang up my field hockey stick from high school, they are perfect for headbands and car/apartment keys. They were everywhere. I had 25 of them. They were easy to put on the walls and to take off. None of them left a mark. I never moved them during my two years there but they easily removed after 2 years. If I want to, I could have easily of moved them around and rearranged my walls and apartment. I would use these for my future house, hands down. These hooks are a little bit different from their opaque counterparts. The sticky part that goes between the hook in the wall is much thinner, which causes me to wonder whether the hooks will fall off the wall… My walls are not perfectly smooth, and without that extra bit of cushioning I'm not sure that the wall surface is completely in contact with sticky and the hook. That said, the price is good and the products are attractive. The hook material is a little bit wide, similar to some of the other versions of this product. That means some items will not hang flat against your wall, but will stick out at an angle. This is not inherently a problem, but if you're looking for a hook that allows items such as curling irons or hairdryers, which commonly have a small plastic loop for hanging, to sit flat against the wall I recommend the wire type hooks over these.I've only had them up for a few days so I can't comment on their ability to stay on the wall. But rest assured, if they start falling off I will come back and revise my review.Really disappointed with this one. Bought first one from Wilko, worked perfectly and stuck with no issues. Its in the bathroom stuck to a tile and used for a dressing gown.Wanted a 2nd hook to go below to hang baby's towel/gown (not very heavy). Unfortunately the 2 3m sticky pads supplied refused to stick so had to use the spare I got with the one I got from Wilko. Followed all instructions... cleaned and dried surface and did not hang anything on it until the following day (just to make sure). Not sure what's up with the sticky pads supplied, Old? Damaged? Must have been unlucky, but won't be buying from here again.I bought 2 of these. One to go in the bathroom to hang a guest towel near the basin and one to go on the back of a bedroom door to hang a dressing gown. My main reason for buying them was I didn't want drill holes in newly replaced doors or bathroom tiles. The hooks are attractive and tactile and will hold up to 3lbs in weight ( according to the packaging). I don't intend putting them to the test! The instructions of how to affix them are clear, with wording and diagrams and you get 2 fixative strips. Replacement strips are available to buy on amazon. The big advantage of these is if you don't like where you originally put them it is no hassle to remove them. The important thing is to make sure the intended surface is grease free (I used isopropyl alcohol to clean the area) and leave the base for an hour - I left it overnight - before re-attaching the hook. Excellent product.I swear that the ingredients used to make Command products involves witchcraft and wizardry somewhere along the lines. I mean, you can hang such heavy things from them and they will not give, and yet somehow, even with this amazingly strong stick, just pulling on the little tab you can take them off the wall without leaving a mark?! witchcraft! I have been using Command hooks for a while and they have yet to let me down. I have tried hooks from 3 other sellers on Amazon and they all simply came off the wall (and sometimes took some of the wall with them!). I say it is not worth the risk with cheap hooks, get these and I am pretty sure you won't be disappointed. We followed the instructions to the letter and sadly the 4 hooks we put in place damaged our wall. One fell off and took the paint with it and the remaining 3, we attempted to remove as instructed, again the paint came off with the strip intact. This is severely disappointing as we rent our property and wanted a safe and damage-free way of hanging items but this sadly was not the case. We are now left with a repair job to do and cannot return the products as we have used them. These hooks look great for the back of my doors and they are incredibly easy to put up (1 min) and very sturdy. I bought four and I’ve used them to hang robes and towels and they haven’t budged. Then brushed silver looks great against our white doors too when not in use. I highly recommend them if you don’t want to drill holes but you want sturdy hooks.
